Verification of the authority that issued the document. An extract from the criminal record can be apostilled if issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office or the post office.
The apostille is added to the original document, so it often needs to be translated into a foreign language. The price for an official translation is typically 30 EUR per standard page.

Almost every country in the world maintains a criminal record registry, which is a record of criminal offenses committed by individuals. A criminal record extract is a public document that certifies whether an individual has been lawfully convicted in the country issuing the extract. A criminal record extract with an apostille or superlegalized is often a required document abroad for various life situations. It is needed for getting married abroad, obtaining citizenship of another country, arranging residence in another country, establishing companies abroad, and similar purposes.
We recommend inquiring with the specific authority requiring the apostilled/superlegalized criminal record extract about the acceptable date of issue. Some institutions require an extract issued no more than three months ago, while others accept up to six months old extracts. If needed, we can also provide an official translation.
